My Little Man

The other day Ryan and I were snuggling and I was telling him how the baby in my tummy sometimes sleeps. He leaned over and put his hand on my stomach and said, "Baby, wake up!  I play with you!"

I love this little kid.  He is SO much fun these days.  He gets Nate and I laughing all the time.  And is the subject of many of conversations about how lucky we are to be his parents.

Just last night after the First Presidency Christmas Devotional we drove around to see the Christmas lights (Ryan is eating this Christmas stuff up... I knew he would after how much fun he was at Halloween).  And when we got home he begged to go see more.  To distract him, we came in and showed him pictures of him sitting on Santa's lap last year crying and he informed us that this time he'll be happy and ask Santa for a choo choo train.  (Score!  Someone's going to be very happy Christmas morning. :))  I love how being a parent takes an already wonderful time of the year and magnifies it by 10.... Ryan's not the only one looking forward to him opening his presents Christmas morning. :)

31 Weeks

Only nine weeks to go until we make us a family of four.  (And the first belly picture.  Forgive me Baby #2!)
And as a little comparison here I was at 30 weeks with Ryan.
And our Christmas tree!  Best time of the year...

Tamma and Tampa Singer's House

We hit up Grandma and Grandpa Singer's house for Thanksgiving.  Ryan's been talking about this trip for weeks in anticipation and has been talking about it since we got home.  (I've discovered it's nice to have something for Ryan to look forward to so that I can use it as a threat when he's acting up.  Is it mean that I told him MANY times the week before that he better listen to Mom or he won't be going to Grandma and Grandpa's house?) Besides the AMAZING food, the highlights were:
-Riding Tampa's tractor.
Ryan likes to retell the whole story complete with, "Oh, no!  (hands on cheeks) Tampa get gas!"  (It had run out halfway through their ride.)  I also love that Grandpa gave Ryan his John Deere tractor hat and that Ryan insists on wearing it whenever we leave the house. :)
-Staying up late watching Frosty the Snowman with Grandma and Grandpa while Mom and Dad went on a date. :)
 -Wildlife Safari!
 Feeding the goats.

-Riding the train at Wildlife Safari.  Ryan begged and so we sat and waited his most patient 1/2 hour ever before it was up and running.
Such a flattering picture of our little family.  (Don't judge... I was feeling super sick this week.  When I went to my last OB appointment I had lost 3 lbs since my previous appointment.  And that was enough to get some anti-nausea meds.  Wahoo!  Now if only I had known about those little gems with Ryan.)

Notice no luck getting Ryan to play the part of Zebra...
